Procreate, the incredibly popular illustration app on iPad, has been updated to version 4.3 today. The update includes one of the most oft-requested features among Procreate users: support for Text. Savage, the developer team behind Procreate, says that illustrators now have the ability to import fonts and “weave typography into their illustrations and designs.” Procreate includes all standard iOS fonts, as well as three custom typefaces. Creators can also add their own fonts....

An updated Apple Music support page now lists all countries eligible for the $99 annual membership. This updated page acts as an official announcement considering the initial launch had none. The ‘Availability of Apple Music and iTunes Match‘ support page lists what access each region has. For example, Germany, but not Argentina, has student memberships for Apple Music. The list also helps answer which countries those Beats 1 DJs are referring to when they say “live in over 100 countries”....

AMC’s Preacher has revealed the premiere date for season 4, and also confirmed that the new season will be the show’s last. Based on the Vertigo Comics title, Preacher follows the quirky and violent adventures of Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), Tulip O’Hare (Ruth Negga), and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) as they, among other things, go on a quest to find God, and do battle with various villains, including the indestructible Saint of Killers (Graham McTavish)....

Comcast Xfinity customers are the latest to be affected by lax online security. According to a report from BuzzFeed News, more than 26.5 million customers had their partial home addresses and social security numbers exposed… Security researcher Ryan Stevenson first uncovered the security flaws. These vulnerabilities were in Comcast’s online customer portal and made it “easy for even an unsophisticated hacker to access this sensitive information.” BuzzFeed News informed Comcast of the security holes, and the internet provider was quickly able to patch the flaws....

QCode today announced the hiring of former Apple Podcasts marketing executive Steve Wilson, who will now work as chief strategy officer at the company. The hiring was first reported by Variety. For those unfamiliar with QCode, the company is a podcast studio that has become a growing player by producing exclusive, narrative podcasts. Steve Wilson, who worked for over 15 years at Apple leading the Apple Podcasts marketing team, will now join QCode to work on new projects and partnerships....

Pre-ordering iPhone XR starts Friday ahead of the launch a week later, and iPhone Upgrade Program members can start the process as soon as today with pre-approval. Apple introduced the pre-approval step with the iPhone X last year to remove an extra step that could slow down upgraders at checkout.
