RapidWeaver, the well-known web design software for Mac, is getting a massive update rolling out August 14. Jumping from 7, RapidWeaver 8 brings a few notable changes to the table that’ll improve how web developers build their websites. Announced on its blog, RapidWeaver 8 will be adding a responsive device simulator, Twitter card support, UI state restorations, and much more. The company will give more details regarding the new version come next week....

Re/code have just announced that their upcoming Code Conference will feature interviews with Apple’s SVP’s Craig Federighi, head of software engineering, and Eddy Cue, lead of Internet Software and Services. This will take place on the second day of the event, May 28th. Although Cue and Federighi are unlikely to announce anything concrete, the interviews have traditionally offered good insights into Apple’s direction. Last year, for example, Cook hinted at Apple’s interest in wearables and a grand vision for Apple TV....

Apple and Qualcomm headed back to court this week in San Diego. Today, Qualcomm has demanded that Apple pay $31 million in damages over the alleged infringement of three patents. Yesterday, it looked certain that Apple lost its star witness in this lawsuit. Apple’s former engineer Arjuno Siva was originally set to testify on Thursday, but didn’t end up boarding the flight for San Diego. Apple’s counsel then alleged Qualcomm’s defense of witness tampering and called Siva a “tainted witness....

With carrier claims about both LTE and 5G coverage not always reflecting reality, the FCC has said that carriers should have to prove coverage claims. However, both T-Mobile and AT&T are objecting to this, claiming to it would be too expensive for them to do so … Carriers currently rely on computer modelling to generate their coverage maps, but the FCC wants them to verify their accuracy with on-the-ground tests. CNET reports that the two carriers have filed objections to the proposal....

Following a report this morning claiming Apple is preparing for a trial with Qualcomm, the chipmaker this evening offered its earnings guidance for the holiday quarter of this year. While Qualcomm is forecasting higher-than-expected earnings-per-share, that’s only due to a one-time tax benefit. As reported by Reuters, Qualcomm’s fiscal first quarter forecast consists of revenue between $4.5 billion and $5.3 billion, as well as adjusted earnings between $1.05 and $1.15 per share....

Queer as Folk may have premiered nearly twenty years ago, but there are still many things about it that are relevant to today. While LGBT+ representation on television has greatly improved in two decades, there is still a ways to go. There is more representation in general, but there’s no denying that Queer as Folk broke many barriers and was in many ways more daring than many queer shows today. CMT’s new series, Racing Wives, will use the winning formula of The Real Housewives franchise and the excitement of NASCAR. With a long-running investigation into the legality of Apple’s tax arrangements in Europe not expected to end any time soon, the company will come under additional pressure tomorrow when it is called before the European Parliament’s tax committee. Reuters reports that the company will be one of four companies asked to explain their European tax arrangements. The committee has no power to demand changes, but it will further add to the PR pressure on Apple at a time when the public mood in Europe is hostile to legal but aggressive tax-avoidance strategies....

Bluepoint Games’ upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive title will reportedly set the visual benchmark for the next generation of gaming consoles, according to the company’s website. Set for a 2020 holiday release, the PS5 is the newest in Sony’s long line of popular gaming consoles and is planned to feature controllers with haptic feedback and some sort of solid state hard drive. Anticipation for the PlayStation 5 is high, with Sony dev kits rumored to already have been distributed to many high-profile game development companies....

Similar in style to the previous purported iPhone 5C hands-on video, website CTech has uploaded a new video claiming to show the light blue/cyan iPhone 5C in action. It’s unclear if the video is legitimate, but it certainly looks plausible. The video shows no new information, but the leak of the device is notable as it likely means that the product will be shipping sooner than later. The user interface on the low-cost device running iOS 7 appears smooth in the video....

When the victim scans this QR Code from his/her device, the generated authentication token is then sent to the attacker’s server. The attacker then verifies the authentication token from the WhatsApp web website; he can then see the victim’s messages. How QRL jacking works The attacker generates a QR session and clones the Login QR code into a phishing website....
