Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle file to trademark their charity: Sussex Royal. The two have been working tirelessly with their charities to bring about a positive effect on those who may not be able to help themselves.

The Duke and Duchess have had a hard time making a good impression with their people since their wedding. The couple has recently opened up about how hard the transition to motherhood has been for her while in the public eye. The Hollywood actress started on USA’s Suits, and before that, she opened briefcases on an evening game show, Deal or No Deal. The royal couple recently spoke about the possibility of relocating to Africa, which does not surprise their followers as the two have not had warm reception back in Great Britain. This holiday season the Prince and his unpopular wife decided to snub tradition and spend Christmas in Canada for some much-needed alone time.

The Royal Family was always a big part of the charity’s that they represented for their community according to E! For the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, no amount of being unliked would change their views on wanting to help others as they have now registered the name of their own foundation. According to the Intellectual Property Office’s website, Prince Harry and Markle took the appropriate steps to register their charitable foundation, Sussex Royal, as a trademark. Trademarking their foundation will cover a vast variety of goods and services which would include, books, clothing, and educational promotions. According to the Intellectual Property Office, the royal couple submitted the paperwork through their organization back in June and the application was just published on December 20th.

Earlier this year Prince Harry and Markle set up their own foundation while simultaneously breaking away from his older brother, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton. The two worked for ten years with their shared organization called the Royal Foundation. To rock the boat even further and feed the rumors of a feud, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a statement, via their press secretary, that they would forgo celebrations at the Queen’s and instead travel to Canada with their son, Archie. The couple did not announce which province they would be visiting but have kept their followers up to date on their trip. The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust which Prince Harry and Markle or President and Vice President respectively also shared their Christmas card, wishing everyone a good holiday season.

The couple has spent a very long year as senior members of the royal family and is hoping that the relaxing trip to Canada will help them regroup for the new year ahead. Even though the couple has been scrutinized for their practices and lack of being able to fit in quickly with the traditions of the Royal Family, both are hoping that 2020 will bring about positive changes for them personally and publicly.
