Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship still needs work, according to a royal insider. The two brothers have been scaring their subjects by spending so much time apart. Many hoped that their rift would heal faster but it seems that more time and bonding will be needed.
The royals have always been a staple of the British Empire, holding up centuries of traditions and pride for the British people. Before Meghan Markle entered the picture, Prince William and Prince Harry were inseparable. The two famous brothers performed most of their royal duties side by side and enjoyed picking on one another as siblings do. Sadly, since the last royal wedding, the two princes’ have been far from close, leading many to believe there is a rift between the royals.
According to Us Weekly, a royal insider said the brothers have not been together since a July polo match and Prince Harry’s recent documentary with the Duchess did not help to heal their wounds. In the documentary, Prince Harry acknowledged tensions for the very first time between his older brother saying that they were both on different paths. In the ITV interview, Prince Harry was asked how much of the tabloid reports were true to which he replied that being a royal put their family under immense pressure which inevitably caused issues to arise. Harry said, “I’ll always be there for him and as I know he’ll always be there for me.” The source revealed that things are “not great” for the brothers at the moment. The royal insider revealed, “They both need to put in the effort to rebuild their relationship.”
The ginger prince said that he would always be there for the future King of England even though they do not see one another very much. Even though it is very unlikely that Prince Harry will ever be king, as he is sixth in line, behind his niece and nephew, he still would like his brother’s family to know that he loves them deeply. The young prince acknowledged that most of their tiffs are based on absolutely nothing and that the brothers will always have their good and bad days. The source revealed the true problem, saying, “There’s always been a part of Harry that felt like he was living in his brother’s shadow.” However, the source claims, “He doesn’t envy the responsibility that comes with being the future king of England, but William’s the ‘golden boy’ and Harry feels like he has a lot to live up to.”
Tabloids reported that one of the main reasons the newlyweds left Kensington Palace was due to the rift between the four. Even though the two handsome princes may be on the outs the four royals are planning on getting together this upcoming weekend to pay tribute on Remembrance Day. The foursome will be joining other famous royals at the Royal Albert Hall which will include their father, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, and of course their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.
