Property Brothers’ Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel pose with chainsaw-wielding zombies in a picture that speaks volumes about their budding romance. After all, the photo marks the first time that the celebrity couple has made their relationship Instagram official.
Scott recently opened up that he was eager to meet and fall in love with someone new. He and long-term girlfriend Jacinta Kuznetsov ended their partnership in 2018. He listed a number of traits that his ideal woman should have, including a good sense of right and wrong and an outgoing personality. While on his quest for romance, he’s played the third wheel to his brother and sister-in-law since their wedding in May 2018. Deschanel’s four-year marriage to producer Jacob Pechenik ended months before news of her fling with Scott first surfaced. Although Scott reportedly hasn’t met her children yet, his ease around kids has been showcased on many episodes of Property Brothers.
The quirky duo - that nobody knew they wanted, but can’t live without - was first spotted strolling through Los Angeles’ Silver Lake neighborhood. Their meeting was a much more Hollywood affair. They met during a taping of James Corden’s Car Pool Karaoke. A source close to the pair told People, “They were all talented and spontaneous and they had a really fun time shooting the show. They became friends after and then started talking as friends and realized there was more to it. It’s still a very new relationship.“The pair recently made their romance Instagram official after posing for a picture at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights. It shows Deschanel cowering in Scott’s arms as his twin brother Drew, along with his wife Linda Phan, appear frightened amid a slew of psychotic zombies. See the playful post below:
Along with this double date, Deschanel and Scott have been nearly inseparable since meeting in September 2019. Also, after the Instagram photo was posted, her estranged husband filed for divorce from her. Fans know and love her from big-screen roles in Elf and All the Real Girls. Television and music lovers also watched Deschanel on Fox’s New Girl and enjoyed her sultry voice as part of the band, She and Him. Scott’s viewers are equally wild about him. He and twin brother Drew inform and amuse fans of their long-running HGTV makeover show, Property Brothers.
So now fans want to know if Deschanel’s new relationship burn hard and fast like 500 Days of Summer, or if she and Scott’s love will go the distance like Nick and Jess from New Girl. Only time will tell. Until then, fans of both the actress and the Property Brothers star are just happy that the two have found happiness with each other.
