Disney Plus Price Increases One Dollar
Disney actually announced the new pricing back in December. And this price change is for U.S. customers only. As the company starts to invest in and add more content to the service, it needs to raise the price to recoup the expense. As of Friday, March 26th, the price of a Disney+ subscription in the United States will be $7.99/month or $79.99/year. The price of the Disney Bundle with Hulu (Ad-supported) will be $13.99/month and the Disney Bundle with Hulu (No Ads) will be $19.99/month. Prices for existing subscribers will increase in the first bill on or after 3/26/21. Even with the increased price, the service is still an incredible value. It’s the place to watch content from Walt Disney Pictures, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, and National Geographic. It also includes select films from 20th Century Fox, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, and Touchstone Pictures. And the company is continuously launching new original content like The Mandalorian from Lucasfilm and WandaVision from Marvel Studios. It’s always adding new content to the network like The Muppet Show, for example. Disney recently launched Disney Plus Star as a Hulu replacement for international viewers in locations like Latin America, European countries, and Singapore but this price increase doesn’t pertain to those subscribers.
