R. Kelly accuser, Faith Rodgers thinks he should go to jail “forever.” Faith has been one of the public faces for the accusers as she and many other women try to tell their truth about what happened to them.
The Lifetime network reported on R. Kelly by filming a documentary called Surviving R. Kelly. The once-popular singer adamantly denies all claims and released a statement saying that the network’s documentary is full of lies and distorted stories and even claimed that the women who accused him are profiteers. In June, the soul singer pleaded not guilty to 11 counts of felony sexual abuse for occurrences between 2009 and 2010. Most recently in December of 2019, Kelly pled not guilty to a federal charged that accused him of bribing Illinois government employees to issue a fake ID for a 15-year-old.
Rodgers is one of many women who have accused the R&B singer of sexual abuse according to People and is speaking out about how she hopes he spends the rest of his life in jail. Kelly is currently doing time and facing charges within three states of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and child pornography. Rodgers spoke candidly about the fact that there needs to be no second chance for the singer as he should go to jail “forever.”
The 21-year-old said, “He needs to go to jail forever. There needs to be no getting out, no anything.” The young woman pointed out that Kelly is a serial offender for this type of behavior, saying, “It hasn’t just been me.” She continued, “It’s a track record. So even if it’s not justice for me, for the next person, that’s good enough.” She claimed that her relationship with Kelly began when she was only 19 and first filed charges against the singer in 2018 for sexual battery. In her report, she also claimed that the singer has falsely imprisoned her as well as failed to disclose a sexually transmitted disease in which she found out she contracted.
For Rodgers, it has never been about the money for her as she would like to hold Kelly liable for his poor actions. In her lawsuit, Rodgers had also claimed that the famed singer abused her mentally, sexually, and verbally and would use his iPad to film her while she was forced to perform sexually. Rodgers explained that he demanded her to perform on camera even when she was not comfortable. Kelly has continued to claim that he is innocent of all charges.
