For six seasons we were graced with the daring good looks of Mindy Lahiri on The Mindy Project. While most doctors are fine wearing their white coats and pale sweaters, Mindy is a more colorful and refreshing OB-GYN. She’s not afraid of patterns, colors, or accessories — she just goes for it.

Through all the ups and downs of Mindy’s personal and professional life, we’ve seen her carry herself closer to the light. When she should be home alone in ripped sweat pants eating chocolate bars, she fought through the pain and put herself together (while still eating chocolate bars). She’s a fun inspiration for so many of us and today we’re going to take a look at some of her most fashionable moments throughout 117 episodes.

MINDY LOOKS AMAZING IN YELLOW

Thanks to Mindy Kaling’s gorgeous skin tone, yellow really makes her shine. We’ve also seen Mindy in a variety of different hairstyles and colors over the course of six seasons but those blonde highlights and that yellow shirt are working for her!

Fans love that Mindy doesn’t shy away from color even though she works in such a serious profession. There have also been a few times where Mindy wore a feminine tie, like the Kate Spade dress above!

NO ONE SLEEPS LIKE MINDY

Can we talk about the adorable matching pajamas Mindy sleeps in? Unlike many of us who fall asleep in whatever clean shirt and bottoms we have lying around, Mindy seems to always have matching pajama sets. But these aren’t your grandmother’s pajama sets.

These pajamas are bright and colorful with fun prints that bring a tropical feel to the Big Apple. What’s cuter is when Mindy matched Leo’s pajamas to her own! The company Bed Head designed her pineapple pajamas on the right and as you can imagine, they’re sold out.

HER APRONS ARE UNLIKE ANYONE ELSE’S

It didn’t take long for fans of The Mindy Project to notice that Mindy hated doing housework. In terms of cleaning and cooking, Mindy isn’t a fan. She’d rather have someone else do it for her or be okay with living in her slop.

After having Leo, Mindy was having an inner debate about whether to be a stay-at-home mom or to go back to work. Danny, of course, wanted Mindy to give up working to spend as much time as she could with Leo, but Mindy had another idea. Nevertheless, she did give the stay-at-home mom-thing a try and when she did, she looked very Mindy in high-end aprons.

BRIGHT PINK IN A GLOOMY WORLD

In the episode “When Mindy Met Danny,” we saw her in this adorable pink blazer with a matching skirt. The shirt underneath had an adorable pearl print that matched the trim on her skirt and cuffs, too. The entire ensemble was custom designed by Salvador Perez himself.

In this episode, we learn about Mindy and Danny’s first meeting at Schulman and Associates. While their love story does have its ups and downs, we see just how much these two have changed over the years since being friends, lovers, partners, and parents.

WHO CAN FORGET THIS LEMON ENSEMBLE

Again, Mindy in lemon-yellow! She is a ray of sunshine even in her darkest of days. Not only is she wearing an adorably fitted lemon dress but she has a matching sweater and headband! Designed by Dolce & Gabbana, Mindy wore this right off the runway.

She wore this in the episode “Princeton Charming” in season four. In this episode, she had the opportunity to go back to her alma mater for a presentation but it wasn’t without its complications.

LIME GREEN X MINDY

In the episode “Crimes & Misdemeanors & Ex-BFs,”  Mindy has some problems with the IRS. As it turns out, she didn’t pay her taxes for years and she had to confront her ex-boyfriend—and lawyer—for tax help.

However, since Cliff hates Mindy’s guts, Mindy had to put on her best performance to act as if she cared about Cliff just to get his help. And what better way to ask for help than by wearing this lime green Karen Millen skirt, neon shirt, and a white blazer? The outfit (and the act) obviously worked because Cliff did her taxes and Mindy was in the clear.

MINDY’S JACKET GAME IS ON POINT

Can we all agree that Mindy has some of the best jackets on television? Living in New York City, Mindy had a different jacket for every occasion. And you never caught her wearing a boring old black puffer jacket. She was always in a designer jacket that fitted her perfectly.

From plaid to leather, Mindy didn’t ignore her outer layers when it came to fashion. The only question we have is where she puts all these clothes! Sure, she had a small walk-in closet in her apartment but there’s no way that’s enough room for all her clothes!

IT WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

There were a few Christmas episodes in The Mindy Project and regardless of what happened at the party (most ended in some kind of disaster), she always looked flawless. Who can forget this stunning dark green dress with those diamond earrings!?

Costume designer Salvador Perez told InStyle that they opted for a green dress for this holiday party because she’s done red in former Christmas episodes. And the beading on her sides was done by hand! For an office Christmas party, Mindy definitely took the show.

MINDY’S DEEP V IN THE FOURTH SEASON

Mindy doesn’t wear too many deep-neck ensembles but this dress makes us wonder why. With her hair swept back and red lipstick on her lips, she rocked this Perez dress in the episode “While I Was Sleeping.”

This episode was the first of its kind for the series, showing what life would have been like if Mindy and Danny never kissed on the plane. If he never kissed her, she would have been married to Joseph Gordon-Levitt!

WHEN SHE WORE A TIE

Again, why doesn’t Mindy wear more ties? She looks adorable and professional at the same time! In this episode, Danny is helping Mindy eat cleaner and get in better shape. Though the two have love for each other, they’re very different in the food department.

In this scene, her co-worker made her a delicious cake but Mindy had to hold everything back in not eating it. Instead, she took a deep inhale and tried to walk away…
